On April 10th I held a surprise birthday party for aunt, Myrtle Racibor at the Inn at Nichols. The party came off like a charm in large part to the efforts of your staff. In particular I would like to recognize the efforts of Sharon Carfora. She worked with me through my efforts to make all my family members happy with the event. When I arrived at the Inn for the event unfortunately Sharon was out on medical leave, but Katey and Sue stepped in and did a wonderful job completing what Sharon had started.

In addition the buffet put on by your staff was wonderful. The event could not have gone any better in my opinion. If I ever have the opportunity to run a function in the Scranton area I would not think twice about where I would want to hold it.

A big well done to the Inn at Nichols staff!

This is the third time in about as many years that we've stayed at the Nichols Village Hotel & Spa. The experience has always been very favorable. The staff is always polite, courteous and interested in your comfort and convenience. The rooms are well appointed (including a small refrigerator). The location is convenient for the Abington area, as well as for Scranton. The Inn serves a breakfast buffet that would be familiar to most hotel goers with chafing dishes of breakfast entrees, a do-it-yourself waffle maker, breads and pastries, etc.; all well done. The overall experience for me and my three teens was delightful. Our expectations are high and we couldn't find anything that we would identify as a shortcoming. Enjoy your stay.

It is hard to express how wonderful last night's meeting was. The graciousness and hospitality of you and your staff, coupled with the outstanding food and service, is what made last night so memorable. I believe we all expect food and service to be good. But last night's fare and service went over and above.--- It was OUTSTANDING!!!!!

The non-chain hotel (actually chain of different buildings) is a gem. We only stayed overnight on our way to another destination but found our room to be very comfortable, well-designed, clean and quiet when we were there. The breakfast was "continental+" with already made cheese omelettes and "make your own" waffles as well as the usual continental fare. We weren't there long enough to take advantage of the other amenities -- an indoor pool, saunas and exercise room -- but they looked inviting. The hotel restaurant, Bazil, was a quite good upscale but casual Italian and the fireplace felt good on a cold and rainy March night. We would definitely stop there again, hopefully for more than one night.

Visited this area for the first time on a business trip and was delighted to find such charming, comfortable and clean accommodations. The indoor pool was a welcome respite after a long trip. Every staff member I encountered gave me a friendly greeting making me feel very welcome and appreciated.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2009 as part of a much larger group that was staying at the Inn for a wedding in the area. We were extremely impressed with the Inn. We stayed in the Presidential Quarters, which was newly renovated. The rooms were huge, with comfortable beds, a large flat-screen TV, and clean bathrooms with two sinks (one sink inside the toilet /shower room, and one outside, which was very handy). The complimentary breakfast was very good, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee and fruit in the lobby all day.. The pool was very nice. The staff was also truly outstanding. We had many small requests throughout our stay, and they were fantastic about things like receiving deliveries from the florist for the wedding party. Also, although the Inn was being renovated and there were many workers involved in that process, every time we needed an elevator, the workers stepped aside and let us go first. The cleaning people were also very friendly. Finally, we thought the hotel provided outstanding value for what we paid; a room that nice in a larger city on the east coast would easily cost s four times what we paid. The only drawback I noticed is that it is difficult to get from the Presidential Quarters to the Applewood building, which is the main building where the lobby and many of the rooms are. You cannot walk inside to get between the two buildings, and there is no direct route. This provided to be somewhat annoying when the wedding party was getting ready the day of the wedding; the bride was in a suite in the Applewood building, and the bridesmaids kept running back to the Presidential Quarters to their own rooms to retrieve things. So if you are coordinating a stay at the Inn with many other people, I recommend trying to stay in one building. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. I would also recommend this hotel to anyone planning a special event. The staff was incredibly helpful and the hotel was very comfortable for us.
